Asian Business Association’s Business Development Resource Center Joins Small Business Development Center Network

Partnership reinforces programs initially launched through funding provided by
Wells Fargo Bank

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Asian Business Association of San Diego (ABA), the largest Asian business organization in San Diego, is now part of the SBDC network of service centers. As an official SBDC micro-center, ABA and its Business Development Resource Center (BDRC) will offer a comprehensive range of training programs, technical assistance and networking events, monthly luncheons and referrals to free, one-on-one business consulting provided by SBDC staff.

This new contract expands an existing partnership between ABA and SBDC, and ensures that local small businesses have access to these valuable business programs.

“After several years of hosting events to support the small business community, ABA launched the BDRC in 2016 through a generous transformational gift provided by Wells Fargo Bank, as well sponsorships from several other sponsors,” said Wendy Urushima-Conn, ABA CEO. “The Wells Fargo sponsorship, matched in year two, sustains the programs to help small businesses learn how to operate more efficiently and succeed.”

Workshops are offered monthly and the free, individual sessions are every Monday and Wednesday at the ABA office, 7675 Dagget St, Suite 340 San Diego, CA 92111. To schedule a one-on-one session, please email kanthis@swccd.edu. For more info about the BDRC and its programs, go to: bizdev.abasd.org.

Workshop topics include: Business process efficiency, tax law and business structure, social media and digital marketing, recruiting and retaining staff, securing capital, understanding website analytics and SEO, accounting practices, and more.
