Carlynne Yu

Carlynne Lee Yu is an accomplished accounting and operations executive with extensive experience in fiscal management; emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and productivity. With a robust background in financial reporting, grant management, and policy development, Carlynne excels in optimizing financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.  

Currently serving as the Vice President of Finance at the San Diego Workforce Partnership, Carlynne manages all aspects of financial operations, including budget preparation, grant management, and compliance with GAAP and federal regulations. She has successfully led audits, revamped financial policies, and streamlined processes to enhance organizational efficiency.  

Previously, Carlynne was the Director of Accounting & Operations at Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, where she oversaw financial management and compliance, developed internal controls, and managed cash flow. Her prior roles also include Accounting Manager at Historical Properties Inc. and Senior Accountant at Preferred Employers Group, as well as serving 7 years with the United Way of San Diego’s Finance Department where she demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, system improvements, and team leadership.  

Carlynne holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University. She is a San Diego native that is extremely passionate in serving the San Diego community.
