Recovery Act Contracting Opportunities for Small Business

All federal government contracting opportunities over $25,000 are posted. Learn about possible subcontracting opportunities by prime contractors that receive contract awards. Small business can identify prime contractors for subcontracting opportunities through the Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System.

City of San Diego

To ensure the success of each and every City contract, each contractor is assigned to a Contract Compliance Officer (CCO). The CCO's role is to assist the contractor in achieving compliance in labor laws and regulations, such as prevailing wage, certified payroll, apprenticeship utilization, and subcontracting goals.

The Business Opportunities Center offers services geared to aid in the growth of small and emerging business contractors through four programs.  

Small Business Certification Benefits and Eligibility Requirements
Upon meeting eligibility requirements, certified small businesses (SBs) and microbusinesses (MBs) are entitled to a bid preference on applicable state solicitations.

Council for Supplier Diversity

The mission of the Council for Supplier Diversity is to use the disciplines of Supplier Diversity initiatives as an engine for economic development in under represented communities. We are dedicated to expanding business opportunities for women, minority and service disabled veteran business enterprises. The ultimate outcome is to add economic value to the supply chain while increasing economic opportunities for the diverse business community. We believe that diverse business development is a key component of reducing poverty, lowering unemployment, increasing wealth, and integrating American society.

Metropolitan Water District

Consultants and small businesses that would like to receive solicitation notices from Metropolitan must register. Consultants and vendors are encouraged to review Metropolitan's Web site announcements regularly for contracting opportunities.

Unified Port of San Diego

The San Diego Unified Port District's (District) policy is that all businesses be provided equal opportunity to participate in the performance of District contracting and leasing opportunities; and to insure that, workers on public works projects of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more are paid the general prevailing rate. A completed Vendor Information Sheet is required for your firm to be entered in the District's Vendor Database.
