All MiraCosta College jobs require prevailing wage and for contractors to be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as is required by law for public works projects. MiraCosta projects are not subject to a project labor agreement.

Mandatory Pre-bid meeting for prospective bidders will be conducted on Friday, Feb 15th, 2019 at 10:00am and Feb 22nd, 2019 at 10:00am. Prospective bidders shall meet at the northwest corner of the intersection of Pan America Road East and Presidents Way, San Diego, CA 92101 at Balboa Park. Bids submitted by firms who have not participated in one of the Pre-bid Meetings will be disqualified.

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification of Contractor’s license, for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license throughout the duration of the contract – B License.

Energy costs rank third in top business expenses
According to the EPA's ENERGY STAR program, U.S. small businesses together spend a whopping $60 billion on energy each year. Additionally, a survey conducted by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) found that energy costs are a top-three business expense for more than one-third of the nation's small businesses.
