The San Diego CITD, in collaboration with the Port of Los AngelesPort of San DiegoU.S. Small Business Administration San Diego District OfficeU.S. Commercial ServiceSan Diego & Imperial District Export Council, and the World Trade Center San Diego, is hosting a series of advanced workshops called Export University. Workshops in the series are designed to help U.S. companies optimize their export potential and increase international sales. The remaining two sessions cover the following topics:

  • July 19 - Export Trade Finance & Insurance/Getting Paid

    Balancing Risk Between Seller and Buyer 
    Selecting International Payment Methods 
    Using Insurance to Protect Against Default 
    Financing Your Export Growth with Extended Credit 
    Protecting Against Foreign Exchange Risk

  • August 16 - Export Sales Techniques/Port & Airport Services

    Export Sales Contracts 
    Export Pricing  
    Distributor contracts 
    Negotiating Export Terms of Sales Reducing Export Risk with Incoterms

    Export Plan & Panel Discussion

    Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their business export plan with a panel during this final session. The panelists will include the U.S. Department of Commerce and representatives from other government organizations and trade professionals.
