San Diego Community College: Notice to Contractors for Re-bidding

The San Diego Community College District has posted a Notice to Contractors for the re-bidding of fire alarm-related work at City, Mesa and Miramar colleges, and the Mid-City Campus for Continuing Education. The project requires a C-10 license which we currently have on file for you as part of your listing on the District’s database of small and historically underutilized firms.   Please review the bid information below to see if it is a fit for your firm.  All SDCCD jobs require prevailing wage. They are not subject to a Project Labor Agreement (PLA).

Required License: C-10

Estimated Project Cost: $270,000

There is no mandatory bid walk for this project.  If you would like to visit the buildings, please contact Larry Walters in the District’s Alarm Department at (619) 388-6428 (office), (619) 954-2725 (cell), or via email atlwalters@sdccd.edu.

Bid packages are due no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, in room 310 of the San Diego Community College District offices, located at 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108.  Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, which are available at www.mayer.com.

Log-in procedure:

·         Go to “Current Projects Bidding”.

·         Select “SDCCD – FIRE ALARM RENOVATION PHASE IV RE-BID” folder.

·         Open and complete the “Register Here” link.

·         After successful registration, a login and password will be provided.

 

Please note that all bids submitted to the District valued at $500,000 and up require contractors to submit a prequalification or requalification application in advance.  We recommend you submit your applications at least a week in advance of the bid opening in order to comply with state requirements and to allow for processing.
