San Diego Community College: Notice to Contractors

The San Diego Community College District has posted a Notice to Contractors for a signage project at Mesa College. The project requires a B license, which we currently have on file for you as part of your listing on the District’s database of small and historically underutilized firms.   Please review the bid information below to see if it is a fit for your firm.  All SDCCD jobs require prevailing wage. They are not subject to a Project Labor Agreement (PLA).

 

Description:  This alteration project consists of removing existing window putty, prepping the area and installing new sealant in the windows of five one-story buildings, with a total area of 25,012 square feet. This work will include the installation of new glazing tape, setting blocks, backer rods and settings clips in preparation for the new sealant.

 

Recommended License:  B

 

Estimated Project Cost: $100,000

 

Bidders must attend one of two pre-bid walks.  They will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. and again Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at San Diego Mesa College, 7250 Mesa College Dr., San Diego, CA 92111. Please park in the PS-100 Parking Garage and meet at the southwest entrance to the Z-100 Building (part of Design Center complex).  One site visit is mandatory and should a bidder not attend, they will not be allowed to bid.

 

Bid packages are due no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, in room 310 of the San Diego Community College District offices, located at 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108.  Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, which are available at www.mayer.com.

 

Log-in procedure:

·         Go to “Current Projects Bidding”.

·         Select “Mesa College – Design Center Window Putty Removal” folder.

·         Open and complete the Register Here link.

·         After successful registration, a login and password will be provided.

 

In addition, one free CD of the bid documents per registered plan holder will be available. To receive this CD, you must log in to the project site, and complete the “Free CD Order Form.”

 

A set of bid documents will also be available to view at no cost at the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center, located at 4007 Camino del Rio South, Suite 210, San Diego, CA 92108. Please call ahead to find out when the plans are available (619-285-7020).
