RE:  Request for assistance in obtaining qualified and certified DBE Subcontractors and/or vendors


Dear Sir/Ma’am:


Hazard Construction is seeking your assistance in recruiting qualified and certified DBE subcontractors, and material and/or equipment suppliers in the areas of work included in, but not limited to, those listed below:


SUBTRADES:  Traffic Control System, Asphalt Concrete, Thermoplastic Striping and Marking, Detector Loops, QC Testing, Prepare WPCP, Portable Message Signs, Trucking, Construction Area Signs, Clearing & Grubbing, Roadway Excavation, Planting and Irrigation, Place AC Dike, Roadside Signs, Gore Paving, Minor Concrete, Survey, Hazardous Waste Trucking/Disposal, Modify Existing Electrical System

For all public projects Payment and Performance Bonds are required for 100% of the subcontract amount.  Hazard will compensate for up to 3% for the required Bonds.

Please note that the requirements of SB 854 became effective on March 1, 2015.  From this point forward All contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on a public works project must register and pay an annual fee to DIR.  No Subcontractor may be listed on a public works projects without this registration # and expiration date.
